The Notebook is a well known romance movie that is pretty much already a classic but I personally think it deserves some more love. The Notebook was released in 2004 and became a very popular movie in the romance genre. This movie has almost five stars in rating from IMDb while having 54% rotten tomatoes. By 2010 over eleven million copies were sold on DVD. Even though this movie is already quickly becoming a classic I would like to show some more perspective on it.

The movie's emotional narrative with a love story between Noah and Allie caught the viewer's eye. Their chemistry was highly praised and became iconic, influencing tons of romance movies. The movie was a big touchstone, especially for the younger adult audience. By combining a classic romantic with a modern sensibility this movie drew more attention to the romance genre. After it was released it became a staple of romance movies.

One of the points of the movie was to show growth in the characters while they also have flaws. This movie shows what a powerful romantic should be.
This movie has been respected as a classic romantic film even though there were mixed emotions from experts. Many critics did criticize the movie because it was predictable, but others praised the emotional depth laid into the movie. The Notebook is such a good romance movie and I think it's pretty obvious that it's going to become a classic and be well known for who knows how long. Yes, The Notebook is very hyped, but I will always respect that because it is a great romance movie.
